موت رجل ثرى فى حادث تصادم بسيارته ويترك كل ثروته لامرأته التى تقرر أن تهب الثروة لأى شخص يجلب لها السعادة وسط أحزانها. تشعر المرأة بألم فى بطنها، يتم نقلها إلى المستشفى، ويتم إجراء عملية جراحية لها وأثناء العملية تدور محاورة ساخنة مع الطبيب الذى تعامله بجفاء، فيضطر إلى صفعها، تحس بالسعادة لأن الصفعة نبهتها إلى شىء مهم، وهو إلا نتعالى على الناس، تحب الطبيب ثم تتزوجه.
